अचानक हृदयघातको शिकार भएर फोरमका राजेन्द्र महतोको मृत्यु.लुकाउन खोज्दा पनि बाहिरियो खबर

Chairman of the Sadbhawana Party, Rajendra Mahato, has warned of withdrawing its support from the government if constitution amendment proposal was not registered at the Legislature Parliament within November 6.

Chairman Mahato made such remark at a cadres meeting organised here on Sunday.

He also directed the party cadres to be ready for launching agitation again if the government did not register the constitution amendment proposal before the Chhath festival.

Although homework was underway for the unity between Sadbhawana party and Tarai-Madhes Loktantrik Party, concrete dialogue was not held, he said, pointing out the need of unity among Madhes-based parties as per the wishes of the Madhesi people.

Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato and Tarai Madhes Rastriya Abhiyan’s coordinator Jaya Prakash Prasad Gupta held a discussion at Biratnagar on Tuesday on the formation of a ‘mega alliance’ to take ahead the ongoing Tarai agitation.

Mahato, a key leader of Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM)—an alliance of disgruntled Madhes-based political parties spearheading the Madhes agitation, has been proposing a ‘mega alliance’ comprising all Madhes-based parties to provide impetus to ongoing agitation.

Mahato-involved alliance includes four parties—Sadbhawana Party, Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal, Tarai Madhes Loktantrik party and Tarai Madhes Sadbhawana Party.

Similarly, Gupta-led Sanghiya Samabesi Gathabandhan includes Tarai Madhes Rastriya Abhiyan, Rastriya Madhes Samajwadi Party, Nepal Sadbhawana Party and Forum Ganatantrik.

Earlier, Mahato had proposed to intensify protest by forging working unity with other Madhesi alliances including that led by Gupta. However, it did not work after Upendra Yadav, a prominent leader of SLMM stood against it.
